I am a fiction writer based in Cork City, Ireland.

My début short story collection, WAITING FOR THE BULLET (Doire Press, 2014), won the Edge Hill Readers’ Choice Prize 2015 (UK).  

My second collection, LIBERTY TERRACE (Doire Press, 2021) is a collection of linked short stories and is Cork's One City, One Book 2023.

My writing has received the Hennessy Literary Award for First Fiction and overall Hennessy Award for New Irish Writer, as well as a number of other awards.

I wish to acknowledge, with gratitude, support from the Arts Council of Ireland, Cork City Council, Cork City Libraries, and Culture Ireland.
 
I am a qualified solicitor and hold an MA in Creative Writing (1:1, UCC 2014).

Work-in-progress includes my second novel, and a third collection of short fiction.

CORK STORIES, an anthology co-edited with Laura McKenna, is forthcoming from Doire Press in 2024.

My first novel will shortly be on submission.
